The new fire ship in the ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście is getting closer
The Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority is in the process of settling the inquiry for the performance of the contract engineer for the project "Purchase of a fire vessel for the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority".
The purpose of the fire vessel is to carry out rescue and firefighting operations, protect the port area against fire, provide fire protection and assistance, for example, to gas carriers within the Szczecin and Świnoujście ports.
The new unit will be the third in the Company's fleet. Currently, "Strażak - 24" is moored in Szczecin, and "Strażak - 26" in Świnoujście.
The next stage, after selecting the contract engineer, will be a tender for the construction or purchase of the ship. The project is co-financed by the EU from OPI & E funds. (Monika Woźniak-Lewandowska)
