The investment area located on the Ostrow Grabowski peninsula is the largest area for future investments in the Szczecin port. Thanks to its convenient location in the centre of the port, it allows for the creation of industries related to port turnover.
The vast majority of Ostrow Grabowski is located in the central and western part, on the side of Dębicki Chnnel, where the Finish Quay, designed for handling containerised general cargo, is already in operation. Another quay under construction is the Norwegian quay with a projected technical depth of 12.5m and a total length of 300m, which is an extension not only of the berthing line of the Finnish quay, but also of the crane rail system for container cranes. Other investments planned, will be a consequence of the modernisation and deepening of the Świnoujście-Szczecin fairway to a depth of 12.5m.
The location of Ostrow Grabowski, between the currently operated general cargo part of the port and the modernised waterway, is more than 3 km of the projected mooring line. This creates ideal conditions for the location of transhipment and storage terminals using the increased depth of up to 12.5m.
Land designation
Loading and storage quay.
The area is perfectly communicated through a new road and rail access. There are utilities connected to the border of the new container terminal: electricity, water, sewage. An undeniable advantage is the close proximity of the built and ready to lease infrastructure for the logistics centre.
