A meeting finalizing the investment project at the ferry terminal in Świnoujście

The final meeting of two projects CEF 2014-EU-TMC-0641-M and CEF 2014-EU-TMC-0640-M, implemented as part of the Maritime Motorway titled: Sweden-Poland Sustainable maritime services and land “Sustainable Świnoujście-Trelleborg MoS based on upgrading port infrastructure” / Action 2014-EU-TMC-0641-M Sweden-Poland Sustainable Sea-Hinterland Services “Sustainable Świnoujście-Trelleborg MoS based on upgrading port infrastructure”. The project was implemented by beneficiaries from two countries: Poland and Sweden: the Port of Trelleborg, the Trelleborg Commune and the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority.

The meeting was attended by representatives of:

• CINEA (The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency),

• Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy,

• Center for EU Transport Projects,

• the port of Trelleborg and the municipality of Trelleborg – project partners,

• Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority: Head of the Investment Office, Head of the project settlement team, Project Manager and representative of the Port Strategy and Development Office.

The host of the meeting was the Ferry Terminal in Świnoujście.

During the meeting, each of the project partners presented the degree of investment implementation (degree of completion, both technical and financial, as well as divided into activities/milestones, encountered problems, possible changes/derogations from the Financing Agreement, presentation of promotional activities).

The CINEA representative inspected the elements of the infrastructure covered by the Financing Agreement, i.e.: reconstructed quays 5 and 6, including the reconstructed ramp and passenger gallery, parking and maneuvering areas, the flyover connecting them, the modernized railway track system and newly purchased equipment for the reloading of intermodal units.
