The exhibition is officially open in Brussels

 

 

In the European Parliament (Spinelli Floor 1, Spinelli Balcony Area - 1G) until the end of March this year. you can see the exhibition: "The Świnoujście-Szczecin Fairway and Monuments of the Świnoujście-Szczecin Fairway". The event was initiated by PiS MEP Joachim Brudziński from the European Conservatives and Reformists faction. The ceremonial inauguration of the exhibition took place on Wednesday, 29 this month, with the participation of, among others, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Marek Gróbarczyk, Deputy Director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin, Paweł Szumny and representatives of the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority.

 

 

 

– The aim of the exhibition is to familiarize a wide audience with one of the flagship economic investments of the Polish government, which the West Pomeranian maritime industry has been waiting for for many years, and which became a reality in mid-2022 – emphasizes Joachim Brudziński, MEP, initiator of the event in the European Parliament.

 

 

 

MEP - Joachim Brudziński also added that the Polish state is the host in Western Pomerania! In recent years, strategic investments have been implemented in our region, also important from the point of view of Poland's interest. This is about: the construction and further expansion of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście and the construction of the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline. These investments guarantee Poland's energy sovereignty. The Container Terminal in Świnoujście will be built soon. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki decided to allocate additional funds under the multiannual financial framework for the construction of the approach fairway.

 

 

 

Referring to today's exhibition in the European Parliament, it should be emphasized that this track was created to serve the development of ports in our region. Strong Western Pomerania is Poland's raison d'état, said J. Brudziński.

 

 

 

In turn, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure - Marek Gróbarczyk drew attention to the fact that in 2008 it was clearly indicated (according to studies in the EP) that Hamburg is to become the main port serving the Baltic Sea (including in the service area). Other European ports are to play the role of the so-called After winning the elections by Law and Justice in 2015, a key decision was made regarding the construction of this coastal track from Świnoujście to Szczecin. which was presented at the exhibition will translate into further dynamic development of our region.

 

 

 

- Our project is the largest project in the history of the 75-year tradition of the Maritime Office in Szczecin. At the time of its inception, it was the largest project in the world. It lasted about four years. The total cost was over PLN 1,932 million. - indicated Paweł Szumny, deputy of the Maritime Office.

 

 

The exhibition consists of nearly 50 boards thematically related to the Świnoujście-Szczecin fairway.
